The Printing Industries of New England (PINE) has announced that PDQ Printing and Copying, Inc. of Newport, RI is an award winner in the Association's 2008 New England Regional Awards of Excellence Competition. PDQ Printing and Copying, Inc. won 1 Pinnacle Award (Best of Category) and 2 Awards of Recognition. PINE's Awards of Excellence Competition attracted 325 entries from 47 printing and imaging companies in New England. A panel of three out-of-state judges with extensive experience in printing and print production, were brought in to examine the work. Each entry was judged anonymously on its own merit in a category with similar printed pieces. The judging criteria included: registration, clarity and neatness, sharpness of halftones and line drawings, richness and tonal qualities of color, paper and ink selection, ink coverage, difficulty of printing, effective contrast or softness, overall visual impact and bindery. We are very proud of this achievement and look forward to creating more "Excellent" printed pieces for our clients in the future. |
